Emergency Risks at ANPP– In Focus of Armenian Government 04.04.2012
The probable incidents and risks of anthropogenic accidents at ANPP may lead to the radioactive contamination of environment, exposure of ANPP employees and population to the radiation. The Armenian Government intends to approve a decision at the meeting on 5th April, where the procedure of investigating accidents and emergency states at ANPP will be laid down. The draft decision was drawn up by the State Committee in Regulating Radiation Safety by the Armenian Government based on the requirements of the IAEA new guidelines. An ad hoc committee will prescribe the investigation procedure, while committee members will be approved by the organization operating the ANPP.
